Our Workshops

Participants taking this workshop leave with a smudge feather with a threaded and leather wrapped stem. This is an ideal workshop for beginners.

Participants leave with a 5-feather fan that has thread wrapped stems, bead spacers, and deer tanned leather wrapped handle. This workshop can be completed in 2-4 hours, depending on skill level.

Participants leave with a hand drum and drum stick. Workshop kits are available with elk hide and cow hide materials. This workshop is ideal for beginners and take 2-3 hours to complete.

Participants will leave with a small loom, white and purple glass tube beads, a needle and sinew. This workshop is great for beginners and is ideal for 2-3 hour classes.

Participants will leave with a wampum pendant shaped with hand tools. This workshop includes an explanation of Haudenosaunee wampum use. Great for beginners, this class is ideal for a 2-3 hour class.

Participants will leave with a leather pouch that can be worn on a leather string. Workshop kits can come in 2-sided, 3-sided, and 4-sided versions. This is a great workshop for beginners and a simplified kit is available for young children to complete. This workshop can be complete in 2-4 hours depending on skill level of the participant.

Participants leave with a synthetic turtle shell pouch that can be worn on a leather string. Turtle shells are made from a small snapping turtle shell mould and are an ethical alternative to real turtle shells. This workshop is great for beginners and takes 2-4 hours to complete.

Participants will leave with a full size horn rattle with a hand carved handle. This workshop is great for beginners. The class takes 6-8 hours, which can be broken up over multiple days.

Participants will leave with a water drum, leather, fabric wrapped drum ring, water stopper and drum stick. This workshop is ideal for those comfortable working with hand tools or interest in learning. This workshop takes 8-12 hours to complete and should be broken up over 2-3 days.

Participants leave the workshop with a complete snowshoe pair that can be used in the snow or as a wall hanging. This workshop can be offered to beginners who will be taught how to weave the snowshoes. This workshop takes 8-12 hours to complete and is best over 2-3 days.
